Privacy Policy

Last updated: 11 August 2026

This policy explains what personal information MotherMode collects, why we use it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It covers everything we run: this website, the MotherMode app, and any programme you join. We treat your information, especially anything about your health, with care.

Who we are

MotherMode Limited (company number 17289640), registered in England and Wales, is the “data controller” for your information. That means we are responsible for it, and we are who you contact about it.

Email us any time at georgina@mothermode.co.uk.

What MotherMode is

MotherMode is a wellness and activity service. It is not a medical service, and nothing in it is medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Please follow the guidance of your own healthcare professional, and talk to them before starting or changing what you do.

What we collect

Health information and your consent

Some of what you share relates to your health and wellbeing. In law that is “special category” information and needs a higher bar, so we only collect and use it with your explicit consent, which you give when you join.

You can withdraw that consent at any time by emailing us. Withdrawing it does not affect anything we did lawfully beforehand, and it may mean we can no longer provide parts of the service that depend on it.

Why we use your information

We also use your contact details to send you messages about the service, and, if you have asked for them, updates about MotherMode. You can stop those at any time.

If MotherMode’s business ever moves into a new company, for example a restructure or a sale, your information may move with it and be handled for these same purposes, with the same protections and the same commitments.

Who we share it with

We never sell your personal information and never share it with advertisers.

We use a small number of trusted service providers who handle information on our behalf, under contract and only on our instructions. They fall into a few categories: hosting and data storage, message and email delivery, and tools that help us keep the service running and understand how it is used. Beyond that, your information is only seen by our team.

We may also share information if the law requires it, or where we believe it is necessary to protect someone’s safety.

Where information is handled outside the UK or EU, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place.

How long we keep it

We keep your personal information for as long as we genuinely need it for the purposes above, and we review what we hold regularly. You can ask us to delete it at any time and we will do so within 30 days.

Anonymised, combined information is different: it can never identify you, so it is no longer personal information, and we keep it so that what we learn keeps helping the mothers who come after you.

Your rights

You can ask us to: give you a copy of what we hold about you; correct it; delete it; limit what we do with it; object to how we are using it; or send it to you in a portable form. You can also withdraw your consent at any time.

Email georgina@mothermode.co.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are ever unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, though we would rather you told us first so we can put it right.

Keeping your information safe

We store your information securely, and access is limited to the people who need it to run MotherMode and support you.

Where we give you private access to your own MotherMode, whether that is a personal link or a login, it is meant for you alone. Please do not share or forward it, and tell us if it is ever lost or seen by someone else, so we can replace it.

Cookies and tracking

We keep this to a minimum and we do not use advertising cookies or sell tracking data. We use only what is needed to make the site and app work and to understand, in aggregate, how they are used. If that ever changes we will update this page and ask for your agreement where the law requires it.

Children

MotherMode is intended for adults. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the “last updated” date above, and where a change materially affects how we use your information we will tell you and, if the law requires it, ask for your consent again.
